You like smoky sweet ribs? With this fruit basket ribs you're at the right place. The combination of rubs combines flavors of apple, citrus, honey, pepper with the apricot in the sauce. Some lime to finish it of and your set for a foolproof combination on a birthday party!
Remove the ribs membrane and rub them thoroughly with equal parts Traeger Chicken Rub and Traeger Pork and Poultry rub.
Prepare your Traeger Pellet BBQ for a session with Cherry pellets.
Smoke your ribs using de supersmoke option for 2 hours at 90°C
Raise the heat to 150°C and let the ribs cook for another 45 minutes.
Prepare the Apricot sauce by mixing some lime juice with it to compensate some of the sweetness (delicious). Baste the ribs with a layer of the sauce you've made and let them caramellize for another 15 minutes.
Cut the ribs and sprinkle some Seroendeng and/or freshly chopped cilantro on top! Serve with a fresh beer. Cheers!
Notes
If you don't own a Pellet grill? Don't worry: You can follow these steps on any BBQ using some cherry wood in between the coals.Or you go for a higher temperature (150°C) all the time and smoke them for 1hr 30 min. I love the ribs tender with a bite. Don't know seroendeng? Look over here
