  • 1 Tbsp Oil
  • 1 Tbsp gochujang paste
  • 1 Tbsp ketjap manis
  • 2 tsp lime juice
  • Coarse salt

Instructions

  • Defrost the Edamame beans and cook them in a vegetable broth for 5 minutes. Cool down in ice cold water.
  • Meanwhile mix the gochujang, ketjap manis and lime juice.
  • Put a cast iron skillet on top of a hot fire with some oil. Add a chunk of fruit wood.
  • Bake the edamame beans until they’re slightly charred.
  • Pour over the gochujang mixture and let cook for another two minutes so the sauce can stick to the beans.
  • Sprinkle with coarse salt at taste and serve.

Tell your guests to suck the beans out of their jacket. This way they’ll have the taste of the gochujang. Don’t eat the pods.
