Korean BBQ Edamame Beans
The Korean BBQ Edamame beans will pop some flavors in your mouth. With a subtle hint of smokyness and a load of umami flavors by the Gochujang. You will feel like a happy kid again! Promise!!
Equipment
- Skillet
- Fruit wood chunks
Ingredients
- 200 gr Edamame beans
- 1 Tbsp Oil
- 1 Tbsp gochujang paste
- 1 Tbsp ketjap manis
- 2 tsp lime juice
- Coarse salt
Instructions
- Defrost the Edamame beans and cook them in a vegetable broth for 5 minutes. Cool down in ice cold water.
- Meanwhile mix the gochujang, ketjap manis and lime juice.
- Put a cast iron skillet on top of a hot fire with some oil. Add a chunk of fruit wood.
- Bake the edamame beans until they’re slightly charred.
- Pour over the gochujang mixture and let cook for another two minutes so the sauce can stick to the beans.
- Sprinkle with coarse salt at taste and serve.
